Audio credits

Some cards play the pronunciation of Chinese words. Each card shows where its audio comes from; this page lists all sources.

audio-cmn

Recordings of real speakers from the audio-cmn project (Hugo Lopez, PLIDAM, INALCO; recording software by Nicolas Vion). License: CC BY-SA.

Rekuro stores copies of these files and converts nothing but the file name. The audio files remain under CC BY-SA; your cards do not.

Computer voice

Words without a recording may use a computer-generated voice. Such audio is labeled “Computer voice” on the card, so it is clear that it is not a real recording.

Speaking practice

When you practice speaking, your voice is analyzed in your browser with sherpa-onnx (Apache 2.0). Recordings never leave your device and are not stored.
